Cooking the mountain way — since 1887
At our hut, we cook the way mountain cooking has always been done: honest, hearty, and with respect for tradition.

What’s on the plate comes from here.
No long supply chains, no ready-made products. We cook with what the region has to offer — and you can taste the difference.
You won’t find luxury in the classical sense here; instead, everything that hikers and mountaineers truly need: nourishing dishes that hit the spot after a long day in the mountains.
South Tyrolean classic - Homemade dumplings, soup of the day — fresh every day Nothing from the pack.
Ingredients from the region - We source as much as possible from local producers in Val di Fleres (Pflerschtal) and Wipptal — short distances, fresh flavours.
Satiating after long trips - After a long ascent, you don’t need fine dining. We cook dishes that truly fill you up and make you happy.
Jaro's surprises - Every now and then, Jaro goes off-menu. What ends up on your plate? That he won’t reveal in advance. Maybe a MagdeBURGER?
