Two paths, one goal: Life in the mountains
We are Carmen and Jaro — and although our roots lie in two different countries, we share one passion: the simple, authentic life close to nature in the mountains.
What began as an exciting job has grown into something much greater: home, everyday life, and true dedication. After years working at mountain huts across Austria, Switzerland, Slovakia, and South Tyrol, we are ready for our first season as hut keepers.

At our hut, we cook the way mountain cooking has always been done: honest, hearty, and with respect for tradition.
We serve wholesome alpine cuisine made from regional ingredients. You won't find luxury in the classic sense here; instead, you'll find everything that mountaineers really need: nutritious dishes that are simply good after a long day in the mountains.

What you want to know
The most important information before your ascent to the Magdeburger Hütte.
The Magdeburger Hütte is open from mid-June to early October, depending on snow conditions. There is no winter room and no winter operation.
The hut can be reached on foot via various hiking trails. The easiest route is Trail No. 6, starting from Innerpflersch.
No special experience is required.
The hut is a suitable destination for hikers and mountaineers looking to explore the Stubai Alps.
Confident young hikers can easily reach the hut. Spending the night here can be an ideal summer adventure for children.
Dogs are only allowed with prior arrangement with the hut keepers and subject to an additional charge.
The hut is supplied by helicopter.
